Debapriya Bhattacharya, PhD is a Distinguished Fellow at the Centre for Policy Dialogue (CPD), Dhaka, where he was its first Executive Director. Former Bangladesh Ambassador to WTO and UN Offices in Geneva and Vienna; Coordinator of LDC Group in the UN system and Special Advisor on LDCs to Secretary General, UNCTAD. Educated in Dhaka, Moscow and Oxford; Senior Fulbright Fellow at Center for Global Governance (CGD), Washington DC. Sits in International Advisory Board of Oxford Development Studies and South Asia Economic Journal, Governing Board of BRAC International. Chairs LDC IV Monitor - an international partnership providing independent assessment of delivery of the Istanbul Programme of Action (IPoA) for LDCs; and Southern Voice on Post-MDGs - a network of 50 think tanks from Asia, Africa and Latin America. Recent edited book Southern Perspectives on Post-2015 International Development Agenda, Routledge: London (2016).
